LO2 Task 2: production schedule (1-4)

Week 1

Here is my first production schedule for shooting our trailer. We began planning on filming in Wincobank in my relative's flat on Saturday 15th March but due to problems with getting the equipment there and the availability of the flat, we had to reschedule to Monday 17th in the morning.

We contacted the two actors required for this scene, Wilson and Luke, if they are available to film this date. They both said they were and we sent them a highlighted script of what scene we will be shooting - this time being them walking into the flat to take drugs.

The next date planned was Wednesday 19th from 9:00 to 12:00 the latest, filming in the Sheffield Live! studios. I had the idea of this being a good location to film the office scene involving the boss and Connor. We had to ask permission by ringing up Sheffield Live! from their website and spoke to Lee Ford who was more than happy to let us film there. This would be both scenes featuring James Scanlan, playing the boss character Mr. Shipman, and Wilson again playing a spaced out Connor.

Week 2

This shoot was prolonged a bit due to our main actor Wilson being ill. This meant our schedule was late as he had a tooth infection that meant he couldn't do any acting for almost a month, but we managed to secure a time and date for the next shoot. We would be filming at Sheffield Live! once again, this time the scene when the policeman (Mick Heard) is interrogating Connor (Wilson Davies). I spoke to Lee Ford again who secured a date at 15 April. This was a month after we shot last, so things had to work a little more quickly from now on to ensure we fully shoot every scene.

This scene was the interrogation of Connor by the policeman when Connor walks into his work to find out his boss has gone missing. This was the first scene to star actual policeman and part-time actor Mick Heard. We asked him to bring his police uniform for that was the costume we required for this scene.

This is a part of the script that we were filming.

Week 3

Our next schedule was to film in the Pavilion Sports Bar in Aston. I got the contact number of the owner of the bar from the Pavilion's website who was more than happy to let us use his location before informing the actors needed, Luke Goddard and Wilson once again, to shoot some additional scenes of them walking, playing pool and even fighting in the area to add to the structure of storyline for our trailer. They agreed and we will be shooting there on Sunday 26 April.

Week 4

We found an available date for Wilson to shoot with us, and explained the scene in the script we were shooting.

The next date planned was at will Hewitt's house in New School Close on Saturday 3rd of May. This scene was Connor at his ex-girlfriend's house asking her for help. The ex-girlfriend was played by our tutor Miss Allen, who is seen answering the door before accusing Connor (Wilson) of using drugs again.

Afterwards we also shot another scene of Connor burying a body at the fields behind my estate, using a fake body that I created before the shoot using newspaper to fill up jeans and a coat before wrapping it all up in bin liner. The body looked surprisingly convincing!

The field scene only required Connor, however, we got some additional shots not on the shot plan of Lewis walking in the field with his hood up to maybe incorporate a scene where someone is hunting for Connor.
