LO4 Task 1: Editing logs and Evidence Of Storage

I took part in the editing process within our group as I helped the team in many sections in the trailer. I used Adobe Premiere to edit our trailer and followed both the conventions and our teams original ideas for the trailer itself.

As you can see, the bottom left corner of the above image are the "bins", which contain the images and footage we want to import into our project. We named all the bins to match what footage is in each one, the one shown is named "Basement" as it contains all the footage we took down in the UTC basement.

The top half of the screen is the video section of our project where we would put all the hours of clops we had taken from many locations into certain "bins" to arrange them, this is what it would like. At the bottom of the screen is a clip taken from the first location we filmed at, at the bottom of the image it shows the rolls of clips aligned and music we were editing.

The bottom area, the workspace, shows the cut footage, effects, and music we were using, with different layers allowing clips and sounds to overlap one another. this was a scene we were editing  where Wilson "Connor" (in gray) and Luke "Ronnie" (in black) are heading toward the flat to take drugs.

LO3 Task 3: "In Static" Rush

Here's one of the rushes that we filmed on the 17th. Here we filmed a backtracking shot of actors Luke, Wilson, and our friends Dom and Mitch who agreed to be extras in this scene, using a Canon 650D DSLR. Here they walk up some stairs to a row of flat doors.

LO3 Task 1: Actor contact and profiles

at this point Will e-mailed Mike "Wilson" Davies, Luke Goddard, James Scanlan and Mick Davies to act in our trailer. They were all very up for it despite the lack of budget.

LO2 Task 10: Planning Doc for trailer

Here is some of the planning documentation that me, Jake Dungworth, Will Hewitt and Alex Raynes came up with when brainstorming ideas for a trailer we could produce for Warp Films. We wanted to relatively keep the trailer in the style of a conventional Warp production; a gritty, British thriller. We first ad the idea of the trailer showing a man leading two lives, we would show a man having a normal day, then him waking up in a derelict, abandoned building. We expanded on this idea and came up with many ideas that we will refer back to.

LO2 Task 9: Gantt Chart

This is the initial Gantt chart for how we plan to use our time for making the trailer. The 17th March will be our first filming date which we will consult the actors about and create a call sheet for.

What I'm going to achieve 04/03/2014

By the end of today hopefully our production schedule will be finished for this weeks plan of filming and we will have organized what we will be filming with the actors and what scene in what location and we will start editing the footage we all ready have.

LO2 Task 7: Soundtrack Permission

Audio Use in the trailer
The soundtrack for In Static is 'Feel Good Hit of the Summer' by Queen of the stone ages; as it relates to the substance abuse theme of the film.

Alex Raynes in our group helped gain permission to use the song in the edit, who emailed the owners of the song Kobalt Records who sent an email.
